Come help us support our community! La Porte County Extension Homemakers are sponsoring Lend A Hand Day(s) to aid various agencies in La Porte County.
The dates are Wednesday, March 11 and Wednesday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the La Porte County Purdue Extension Office, 2857 W. St. Rd. 2, Suite A, La Porte. We will be assembling quilts, bags, backpacks, lap robes, wheel chair totes, birthday bags, hats and many other items that will be donated to La Porte County residents through local service organizations. We welcome anyone who can sew, cut, stitch, tie, sort, iron, knit, crochet, pack, stack and carry!
Donations of fabrics, notions, thread, yarn and supplies are always welcome! Bring your own sewing machine or use one provided. Come for an hour or come for the day. A light meal will be provided at noon and 6 p.m.
