Midwest native to lead enrollment management and student affairs efforts

Purdue University Northwest (PNW) named Yohlunda Mosley vice chancellor of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, effective June 1.

Mosley was selected through a nationwide search. Mosley joins PNW from Portland State University in Oregon, where she served as assistant vice president of Enrollment Management. In that role she provided executive leadership and supervision for domestic and international recruitment, orientation, campus visits, marketing to prospective students, recruitment technology, and commencement.

“We are fortunate to have a higher education leader with Yohlunda’s energy, insights, and passion for students’ success return to Indiana to join PNW,” said Purdue Northwest Chancellor Thomas L. Keon. “She brings extensive experience in student lifecycle management, multicultural programming, data-driven analysis, professional development of staff, and strategic management to our senior leadership team.”

Mosley previously served in leadership roles in admissions, community relations and multicultural outreach at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis; the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

A Midwest native, Mosley said she is excited to return to Indiana and join PNW in a role that will draw from her diverse background in higher education. She is enthusiastic about the ways the enrollment management and student affairs functions are linked at PNW.

“When I first visited campus I could see that people are really active champions working for the wellbeing of the students,” Mosley said. “It’s not something that is simply a leadership decision. It’s a philosophy that is lived and breathed on campus with the students, staff and faculty whom I met. You can tell that this really is the essence of the institution…and I’m thrilled to bring the drive I have for higher education to serve the students at PNW and residents of the Northwest Indiana region.”

Mosley earned a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa.
