WBB: Purdue Northwest's Deno, Thompson Earn All-CCAC Honors
The Purdue University Northwest women’s basketball team had two of its players recognized by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference with the league’s release of its all-conference awards Wednesday night.
Senior Cassidy Deno (Otterbein, Ind./Benton Central) was selected to the CCAC First Team, while Darien Thompson (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) was named to the CCAC Second Team.
VB: Purdue Northwest Assistant Coach Cory Sackett Earns National Honor Purdue University Northwest volleyball assistant coach Cory Sackett was recently named a 2017 Double-Goal Coach national winner, as presented by the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA).
The national honor comes after Sackett was dubbed a winner at the Chicago chapter level. PCA's Double-Goal Coach Award is given to youth and high school sports coaches from throughout the U.S. who embody the ideals of the Double-Goal Coach: striving to win, while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.
