Purdue Extension Open House Celebrating 100 years of Extension Programming

Purdue-ExtensionPurdue Extension is celebrating 100 years of the signing of the Smith-Lever Act which officially created the national Cooperative Extension System. LaPorte County will hold its celebration and recognition of this anniversary with an Open House on Wednesday, December 10th, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Extension Office (2857 W. State Road 2).

This Open House celebration will feature holiday refreshments including hors d’ oeuvres and a special 100 year Extension Birthday cake. Door prizes, educational displays and some Extension history will make this a fun event you won’t want to miss.
