This weekend’s Purdue University Calumet baseball season opener against Rochester College (Mich.) has been canceled due the recent winter storm.
Doubleheaders originally scheduled to be played Saturday, Feb. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 28, at Dowling Park have both been postponed. Make-up dates have not yet been set.
The Peregrines will now open their season March 5 in Auburndale, Fla., when Purdue Calumet kicks off a nine-game road trip in the state of Florida. Purdue Calumet opens 2016 with a contest against Mount Vernon (Ohio) March 5 at 9 a.m.
Purdue Calumet will open its home slate March 19 with a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference twin bill against Trinity Christian, held at Dowling Park.
