Purdue Calumet Falls at #16 Cardinal Stritch

PUC-PeregrinsThe Purdue University Calumet women’s tennis team sustained a 9-0 loss at No. 16 Cardinal Stritch University Sunday in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Peregrines fell to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in league play with the setback.

The No. 1 doubles team of Lori Haas (Bismarck, Ill./Bismarck-Henning) and Amber Haworth (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) and the No. 2 squad of Ashley Pabey (East Chicago, Ind./E.C. Central) and Abby Kvachkoff (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) played tough before falling in identical 8-3 scores Sunday.

The Peregrines return to action Saturday, April 4, when they host CCAC rival Calumet College of St. Joseph in a 11 a.m. matchup at Highland High School.
