Professional Football Player Motivates Boston Students

Boston Middle School hosted a special speaker on September 19th in the BMS Gym. The speaker, William Green, was a professional football player that now speaks for different schools to motivate students to make the right choices.

During his performance, William did athletic feats like bending a steel bar and doing push-ups with someone standing on his back which the students enjoyed. He specifically spoke about bullying, peer pressure, and the pitfalls of drugs.

William grew up in New Jersey, attended Boston College where he rushed for over 2700 yards and had 32 touchdowns as an outstanding athlete. William was drafted in 2002 by the Cleveland Browns in the first round. He was MVP of his team and is notable for hit “Run William Run” video where his touchdown led the Browns to the playoffs.

William was very entertaining and interactive with the students and presented a good message at the same time.
