Printmaking, “Tableware” Art, Reverse Glass Painting and Wood-Turned Items from Fallen Trees Headline April First Friday in Downtown Michigan City

first-friday-april-2014-1The Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on April 4, 2014 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.

The First Friday Artwalk features the latest exhibits at some of the Uptown Arts District’s finest galleries. Galleries and businesses will be open, featuring local artists, offering refreshments and entertainment. Lubeznik Center for the Arts will feature musicians Mike Kucharski & Brian Rich, Darling is showing artist Helen Welsh and her reverse glass paintings, Walnut Ink Projects presents Syracuse University Printmakers, Encore Consignment Boutique offers Fred Byer of Natural Bear Wood Products, and one will experience a “tableware exhibit” at Southern Shore Art Association and many more.
