Nate Shinn (No. 1) and Hunter Moldenhauer (No. 2) won singles matches for visiting Marquette. The Blazers also won both doubles matches behind Justin Smith and Buddy Jaffee (No. 1) and Liam Roder and Jacob Schmidt (No. 2).

Caleb Raymer gave Michigan City their lone victory at No. 3 singles, pulling out a 0-6, 6-4, 10-8 win.

“Co-captain Caleb Raymer overcame first set difficulties to win the match 10-8 in the third set tiebreaker,” said Michigan City Head Coach Mike Tsugawa.

The Wolves drop to 3-7 with the loss. Marquette visits Hobart on Thursday.

La Porte 5, Knox 0 (Boys Tennis)

Michael Varda, Bobby Barden and Dru Kennedy gave La Porte wins in all singles matches. The Slicers’ doubles winners were Travs Upp and Tristen Manuszak (No. 1) and Brogan Briggs and Alex Nunn (No. 2).

La Porte won the junior varsity match, 3-1.

Bishop Noll 2, Marquette 0 (Boys Soccer)

Gabriel Anguiano and Eric Klocek netted goals for visiting Bishop Noll, who received five saves from Jon Lozano.

John Roder stopped 10 shots for the Blazers.

Sydney Snyder scored for Marquette, but the host Warriors prevailed.
