Porter Emergency Medical Services will offer an Emergency Medical Technician Course beginning Nov. 3, 2014 through May 20, 2015. The class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, with an occasional Saturday, from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2206 LaPorte Ave. in Valparaiso.
The cost of the course is $900 which includes the price of the textbook, shirt and course required assessment kit. The course fee must be paid in full by Oct. 1, 2014. The completed course application must be received by Sept. 1, 2014.
The course requirements include:
Must be 18 years old by April 1, 2015
Must pass a 10 panel drug screen and background check prior to patient contact
