After more than six years as the CEO of Porter Health Care System, Jonathan Nalli has tendered his resignation, effective Jan. 31, 2014, to accept a new position as President and CEO at St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. The search for a new CEO for Porter Health Care System will begin immediately.
Under Nalli’s leadership, Porter Health Care System has significantly expanded access to health services throughout Porter County with new technologies, the addition of more than 50 new physicians, and in August of 2012, the new Porter Regional Hospital opened, a project that has brought the future of health care to Northwest Indiana.
“I am extremely proud of what we have achieved during these last six years. Porter Health Care System has brought personalized, patient-centered care and best-practice, quality medical resources to Northwest Indiana to enhance the community we serve,” said Nalli. “The outstanding medical staff and wonderful associates at Porter are absolutely committed to their patients and I truly believe Porter’s best clinical accomplishments are still ahead.”
Dr. James Turk, chairman of the Porter Health Care System Board of Directors, thanked Nalli for his service and said today that the health care system is well prepared to serve the community’s needs today and in the future.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Jonathan for his dedication and commitment to Porter’s ongoing success. Under his strong leadership, the Porter team has strategically positioned the hospital to remain ahead of the transforming healthcare landscape in order to provide quality care for patients and to be a vital asset for our community.”
