The Purdue University Northwest Department of Athletics is thrilled to announce that its student-athletes achieved an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.35 for the Spring 2025 semester. This marks the 19th consecutive semester that the Pride have exceeded a 3.0 GPA, showcasing their strong commitment to academic success. Additionally, the Pride posted an outstanding 97-percent retention rate.
"Congratulations to our outstanding student-athletes on another remarkable semester!" said Director of Athletics, Rick Costello. "Achieving a 19th straight semester with a GPA over 3.0 is a true testament to your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in the classroom, competition, and community. I am also grateful to our faculty and staff for fostering an exceptional learning environment at Purdue University Northwest!"
Women's Tennis grabbed the top honors for the semester with a 3.77 team GPA. Rounding out the top five teams included Softball (3.73), Women's Soccer (3.63), Volleyball (3.60), and Men's Soccer (3.59)
"Our student-athletes continue to raise the bar, and I'm incredibly proud of their commitment to academic success," said Natalie Jarrett, Assistant Athletic Director for Student Success and Senior Woman Administrator. "Maintaining a GPA above 3.0 for 19 straight semesters reflects the relentless focus, support, and perseverance shown by our students and coaching staff alike."
Also in the Spring 2025 semester, 41 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, 218 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher GPA, and 48% of the student-athletes received a 3.0 GPA or higher.
