Purdue University North Central Women in Engineering & Technology (WIE&T) recently presented scholarships to deserving students. The main focus of the WIE&T program is to encourage women to study Engineering and Technology.
WIE&T encourages female students to succeed not only academically, but personally and professionally through seminars, talks, and discussions with guest speakers from alumni, industry and academia. WIE&T, led by Martha Garcia-Saenz , PNC associate professor of Construction Engineering and Management Technology, provides an enriching atmosphere that allows students the opportunity to find support and ask questions and learn more about their chosen field.
Students earning scholarships were Connie Senne, majoring in Computer & Information Technology and Margaret Michna, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
