Purdue University North Central has received a grant from U. S. Steel to fund scholarships for PNC Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students.
"On behalf of Purdue North Central, I extend my gratitude to U. S. Steel for this extremely generous grant," said PNC Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin. "The majority of Purdue North Central students are first-generation college students on financial aid and corporate-sponsored scholarships like this one help our students graduate with less debt. This grant also raises the visibility of U. S. Steel among our engineering students as they begin to consider internships and careers."

Steel has a long history of being actively involved in the communities where we operate and supporting educational initiatives is just one example of that involvement," said Anthony Bridge, vice president for Engineering and Technology at U. S. Steel. "This grant is a reaffirmation of our company's commitment to helping Purdue University North Central develop bright, motivated, skilled people for the workforce of the future."

- Matthew Koepkey, Winamac, Mechanical Engineering major
- Alexander Mussa, La Porte, Electrical Engineering major
- Tyler Sherrill, La Porte, Mechanical Engineering major
- Gregory Steingass, Valparaiso, Mechanical Engineering major
