PNC Presents “Beauty is in the Eye of the Lens Holder”

Sheila-BooneThe Purdue University North Central Odyssey Arts and Cultural Events Series will present the exhibit "Beauty is in the Eye of the Lens Holder" by local photographer Sheila Boone through July 31 in the first floor, north study area of the PNC Technology Building.

This and all Odyssey exhibits at PNC are free and open to the public. Technology Building hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Sunday.

Boone describes her current show as an exhibit of photographer depicting what she termed, "Outdoor wonders." Her images were taken using a Nikon D5100 camera.

Born and raised in Michigan City, Boone explained, "I began taking my first pictures with a Kodak 110 pocket instamatic and was hooked from that moment on. Growing up, my biggest inspiration was my parents. They always encouraged me especially in music and art. They are greatly missed. I feel that art is a vital part of our lives and any attempt to remove it from the schools is a poor decision to say the least. I am looking forward to my next photographic adventure where ever that may take me."

All of the photography on display is for sale. "This was a wonderful opportunity to display a few of my favorite pieces," said Boone.
