PNC Non-Credit Computer Class for Beginners

PNCThe Purdue University North Central Office of Graduate and Extended Learning will offer the non-credit a computer workshop for beginners, “So You’ve Never Touched A Computer,” to introduce the basics of using a computer with the Windows 7 operating system and will get individuals started on their path to computer literacy.

“So You’ve Never Touched A Computer” will be a four-day workshop offered at the Westville campus on Mondays and Tuesdays from Nov. 3 through Nov. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. nightly. The registration fee of $159 includes reference materials and a textbook, which the students will be able to use to study the material in more detail from home. The registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.

This hands-on workshop will cover topics such as understanding the equipment, basic computer terminology, working with files and folders, working with email and the internet, downloading images from digital cameras, printing and more.
