Purdue University North Central will host a campus open house on Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Library-Student-Faculty Building for prospective students of all ages and their families. The open house will feature sessions specifically for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors now earning Purdue credits through the Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment Program who intend to enroll at PNC.
The open house will begin at 5:30 p.m. Campus tours will be offered at 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. A series of breakout sessions will begin at 6:15 p.m., and will be repeated at 7 p.m. An Academic, Student Service and Activity Fair will continue throughout the evening.
Breakout sessions will offer information on paying for college and financial aid, student life, athletics and activities and strategies for college success.
High schools students earning Purdue credits through the Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment Program may attend an early bird session from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. featuring academic advising. From 5:30 to 6 p.m. there will be an information session for students in the Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment Program. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. there will be a campus tour and breakout sessions covering financial aid basics and the first-year college experience.
This event is appropriate for high school students, community college graduates, veterans and any adult thinking about attending college. This presents an ideal opportunity to explore academic programs with faculty and advisors. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about student support programs, veteran services, campus activities and athletics in a casual, fun atmosphere. Families are welcome to attend. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
