PNC Hosts Discussion of Proposed House Joint Resolution

PNCRobert Blum, Freedom Indiana district field organizer, will visit Purdue University North Central on Thursday, Dec. 12 at noon in the Library-Student-Faculty Building, Room 60 and again on Friday, Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. in the Library-Student-Faculty Building, Room 170A to discuss the possible impact of proposed House Joint Resolution 6 (HJR-6). The meeting is free and open to the public.

HJR-6 is a proposed amendment that would permanently alter the Indiana Constitution to define marriage, potentially affecting hundreds of rights related to marriage under current Indiana law.

Co-sponsors of the event are the PNC Gay-Straight Alliance and the PNC Brownbag Speakers Series on Diversity. Freedom Indiana is a bipartisan coalition of individuals, businesses, faith leaders, civil rights and community organizations dedicated to educating and informing Indiana citizens in order to defeat HJR-6.
