books-pileThe Purdue University North Central Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee is sponsoring a book fair on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Library-Student Faculty Building, Room 144. The fair is open to the public.

The fair, operated by professional book sellers "Books and More For Less," will feature new books of interest to both adults and children and include subjects from cookbooks to reference books to literature. Various small gift items will be available as well. Most books are offered for less than the original cover price. Cash, checks and major credit and debit cards will be accepted.

Proceeds will go toward funding Clerical and Service Employee and Dependent Scholarships and other enrichment opportunities, such as online professional development classes offered through the PNC Graduate and Extended Learning Program (GEL) - formerly referred to as Continuing Education.

The Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC) was instituted in December, 1977, to enhance communications between the clerical and service staff and the administration of Purdue University North Central.

The committee provides the clerical and service staff an opportunity for meaningful input on matters that affect their employment, employee relations and fringe benefits.
