The Purdue University North Central American Sign Language Club recently was presented with the PNC Club of the Year Award. In addition, Allison Frye, the club co-president, was presented with the Club Member of the Year Award.
This past year, the ASL Club has held more events and has raised more money this year) than during any year in the past. Their fundraising efforts resulted in the club sponsoring two deaf children to Deaf Camp this summer.
The 2012-2013 club officers are: Allison Frye and Ashley Germain, co-presidents; Diane Rich - vice president; Amber Mayes - treasurer and Holly Wireman - historian and Facebook Master.
The newly elected 2013-2014 officers are: Amber Mayes - president; Vera Gaston - vice president;
A'Daigha Wilson - treasurer; Morgan Daly - secretary and Lindsey Papka - historian and Facebook Master.
