The SSAA was awarded a generous grant from the Michigan City Enrichment Corporation which enabled the budding artists to explore an eclectic mix of techniques and media. An eight-week art program, taught by artist members of the SSAA resulted in this exhibit of landscapes, drawing, abstract art, papermaking, cartooning, textile printing, collage and more.

During this instructional program the students gained confidence in their artistic talents, became friends and are very excited to showcase their works of art. Don't miss this exciting exhibit of extraordinary art from talented young artists.

Join the young artists and their parents on Friday, January 4 during the free Opening Reception at the Southern Shore Art Association Gallery from 5 – 8 pm, during the monthly "First Friday" celebration in Michigan City’s historic Uptown Arts District. Refreshments and appetizers will be served.
