Patrick’s Grille celebrated the reopening of the restaurant after renovations on Wednesday night. Working with its local chambers of commerce, Patrick’s had a ribbon cutting and offered an exclusive opportunity to see the renovations.

“They get to be the first ones to see the space set up and ready to go,” said Julie Krause, Patrick's general manager. "We have appetizers where we will showcase some of the new things that we can do, and we're going to have some past appetizers. It is going to showcase the new digs, and just some of the specialty things that our chef specializes in.”

The renovations come as Patrick’s continues to grow and become more popular.

“The reasoning for these renovations is that our catering and events side of business has grown,” said Krause. “We have outgrown our space here in the kitchen. We had to figure out within our space how to enlarge the kitchen while still accommodating our private events.”

Patrick’s expanded the kitchen into its original private event space, and the dining area has been made into the event space. With all of the bookings, the open days as a restaurant will be limited.

“We have dedicated Wednesdays to the restaurant to be only open as a restaurant and not take events on those days,” said Krause. “As we book events and we find days that we can be open as a restaurant, we'll do what we call pop-up events. We are looking to do Wednesdays and we're still going to do New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, and other days. Then we'll do pop-up nights like a Friday night prime rib night or we may do wine dinners, Bourbon dinners, trivia nights, things like that. We'll create events and we'll open to our diners as much as we can.”

There will be flexibility for Patrick’s to switch up its menus. Customers will have the opportunity to try new and fun things each Wednesday.

"I know the chef was looking forward to spreading his wings on those Wednesdays and bringing some fun things to our menu,” said Krause. “Now we can switch our menu every week. We can take things on and off and just really keep it fresh all the time.”

Patrick’s offers a lot for its catering and events. The restaurant can cater any level of event, and with the renovations it will be better equipped to handle everything.

“We can do everything from linens and plate chargers and chair covers, and we have a floral designer that works for us,” said Krause. “We were testing out one of our staff members who's a cake decorator, so we actually are going to be full service for your events. You can choose as few services from us as you would like. You can also go full service because we can just handle everything.”

The restaurant could not have done the renovations without the support and understanding of their loyal diners, Patrick’s regular customers.

“They've been great and understanding,” said Krause. “We just are looking forward to getting them back in here because we miss them.”
