‘Lunch and Learn’ presented by IU Northwest MBA Alumni Association on May 21
Responding to an uncertain economy, Northwest Indiana small businesses are feeling the pressure to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
To provide local leaders with greater insight into how to work smarter and more strategically, the Indiana University Northwest MBA Alumni Association is hosting an in-person workshop: AI for Business Owners and Managers Lunch and Learn.
The AI workshop will take place at noon on Wednesday, May 21, at the Schererville Community Center (500 E Joliet St, Schererville, IN).
Designed specifically for current business owners and managers, this workshop will equip attendees with real-world tools to integrate AI into operations, decision-making and customer engagement.
The event will feature Jayson Rivas, a retired U.S. Special Operations Green Beret and seasoned entrepreneur.
Drawing from his experience working in highly sensitive multi-national missions, Rivas will encourage attendees to move beyond using AI as a “Google Search on steroids” but instead apply it strategically as a force multiplier to achieve mission-critical business goals.
“Our goal is to help business leaders turn today’s uncertainty into tomorrow’s competitive advantage,” said Nicole Schmied, Board President of the IU Northwest MBA Alumni Association. “Smart use of AI isn’t just a trend — it’s becoming a vital part of working smarter and staying resilient.”
The IUN MBA Alumni Association is supported by People’s Bank, Centier Bank and Strack & Van Til.
