For NorthShore, it’s important that patients are able to learn a little extra about their providers. With patient comfort being a top concern, getting acquainted with those responsible for your healthcare is incredibly important. Meet the newest members of the NorthShore Health Centers team!
Now serving as a dentist for Northshore Health Centers, Peter received his Bachelor in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University. He attended the Indiana University Dental School and became a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
As a child, he’d always noticed people’s teeth and found himself interested in them. Dentistry was a fascinating subject which led him into the career he holds today.
Outside of work Peter has two adult children, both of whom will be married in the summer of 2018! He’s married to his wife of 40 years and enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
Certified Nurse Midwife, Paula Brandt, received her Associate of Science in Nursing at Purdue North Central in Westville, Indiana before continuing her education at Chamberlain College in Chicago. There she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Frontier Nursing University provided her an MSN Midwifery and led her to getting a Board Certification from AMB.
Paula spent 19 years as a labor and delivery nurse before deciding to evolve her practice and be able to help her patients in other ways.
Outside of work Paula is married and has a blended family of seven. She enjoys trying new restaurants, wine tasting, and live music. Lately, she’s been fascinated with traveling and would love to travel the world.
Karriann Longtin, MSN, RN, SPNP-AC
As a pediatric nurse practitioner, Karriann loves having the opportunity to help others in achieving their wellness goals. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University, she’s also board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
Karriann knew she wanted to be a provider from a very young age after many positive experiences with her family provider. Knowing this was her goal from a young age, Karriann completed schooling and has used her education to provide those great experience to her patients.
