Seven churches from LaPorte combined their Sunday Services this last Sunday for what they called, “No Walls Service”. Over 800 people gathered for this service at the LaPorte County Fairground pavilion.
Praise and Worship was led by the praise band from Crossroads Christian Center. Pastor Jeff Hines, from LaPorte Assembly of God, delivered an inspired message from the book of Nehemiah. His message looked at how God used Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and challenged those in attendance to get out in to the community of LaPorte and “rebuild the walls”. He talked about how he sees signs of God at work in new ways among the Church and the city. He challenged people not to let the people from “Oh No” keep them from their vision.
The entire morning offering was given to “First Step of LaPorte”, a new ministry with a mission to help the church work together to help those in financial need in LaPorte. Over $4000, was generously given by the “congregation”.
This was the third annual “No Walls Service” and it was sponsored by: Bethel Chapel, LaPorte Assembly of God, Crossroads Christian Center, Lighthouse Church, Agape Christian Church, Salvation Army of LaPorte and Liberty Bible Church of LaPorte.
