On Wednesday, Aug. 22, NIPSCO employees organized a car wash with a cause at the company's Merrillville headquarters. The volunteer team was surprised by a larger-than-average customer, the Merrillville Fire Department. The car wash raised more than $1,400 towards a company-wide campaign supporting the local Boys & Girls Clubs across the 32 counties served by NIPSCO.
The employee-led fundraising initiatives thus far in 2012 total nearly $50,000.
