“What’s very beneficial for me being from Michigan City but working in La Porte is that, although we are in the same county, the two cities can seem to be two separate countries at times. It helps me to be very in tune with the happenings in Michigan City which helps my practice,” said Anthony Novak, partner at NLKJ.

“I think one of the great things about our firm is that we have a wide variety of practice areas,” Otis said. “I try not to do something I’m not good at so if a person calls me that knows me and says, ‘Hey, I’m going through a bad situation, and I need to get a divorce,’ I don't do divorces, but I tell them that my partner, Christina, can help them, She’s very good at that.”

“One of the biggest draws of our firm is that we have many, many practice areas,” Novak said. “The benefit of that is, I like to think, that I’m knowledgeable in my field, but also smart enough to know what I don’t know. It’s a benefit that I can then say, ‘Hey, I have another attorney at my firm that can help.’”
