On June 23rd, The CASA Program, a program of Family Advocates, swore in 6 new volunteers at the LaPorte County Courthouse. The volunteers went through an intensive training covering topics such as the juvenile court and child welfare systems, report writing, and issues involving child abuse and neglect. There are still 65 abused and neglected children waiting for an advocate. Contact the CASA Program at 324-3385 for more information.
