Natural Gas Line Maintenance Project Underway in Highland

rot1Crews from Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) are working to make repairs to a gas line in Highland, Ind., north of Ridge Road between Indianapolis Boulevard and Kennedy Avenue.

As a safety precaution, the Erie Lackawana bike trail has been temporarily closed while crews complete the maintenance. Signs will be posted asking pedestrians and bikers to stay clear of this area. The work is not expected to impact vehicle traffic. However, if traveling near the area, drivers are encouraged to use caution as crews will be on site.

Repairs are expected to continue through the weekend. Customers are not expected to experience any interruptions to their natural gas service.
