The Marquette Catholic boys soccer and volleyball teams returned to action on Monday evening. Boys soccer traveled to Wheeler to take on the Bearcats in the first round of sectionals, while volleyball hosted East Chicago.
The boys soccer game was an exciting contest as it came down to the final shot on penalty kicks to decide the outcome. Tied at 3 at the end of regulation, the Blazers and Bearcats went to a shootout with Wheeler being able to squaek by. The loss ends the boys soccer season 10-4-1. Congratulations on a great season!
The volleyball team faced off against East Chicago and had no problem dispensing of the cardinals as JV won 2-0 and Varsity won 3-0. The volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, October 8 for a 5:00 matchup against South Bend Clay.
