The Marquette Catholic girls soccer team kicked off their season this morning by competing in the Michigan City Jamboree. In the first half of competition they faced off the host Michigan City Wolves. The Blazers looked good in their first outing and held their own.
However, Michigan City scored the lone goal of the half. In the second half, the Blazers took on the LaPorte Slicers. The Blazers mounted a strong offensive showing in the second half and had a few opportunities to score, but were not able to capitalize. LaPorte beat the Blazers in the second half 2-0.
The girls soccer team returns to action on Wednesday, August 21 when they travel to Kouts to take on the Mustangs. Start time is scheduled for 5:30.
