Michigan City Wolves Wire, November 2015

MC Wolves logoWe have just completed our first grading period for the 2015-16 school year and this Wolves Wire is packed with many important items including our parent/teacher conferences, celebrations, successes, the athletic department’s second annual Howl O Ween event, and many ways for your students to be engaged at Michigan City High School.

On October 2nd, we were able to crown our homecoming queen and award the spirit stick after a two week delay due to a rainout. It was amazing to witness the amount of spirit, energy, and enthusiasm our students had two weeks after our homecoming week. Even though the seniors were very mighty and showed a lot of spirit during the pep session and homecoming week, the new leaders of the PACK, our freshman, took home the coveted Spirit Stick! Congratulations to the class of 2019 and all involved in a great homecoming week! All of our students carried their spirit on to the field after the end of an exciting last second victory against Duneland Conference foe Portage. Our students proved they are outstanding!

We are making a concerted effort to really push Wolf Pride not only in our building but the community. Starting with our students, we have spirit wear on sale at very reasonable prices. The art department has a fundraiser in which they are selling MC Hoodies for $20, order forms can be picked up in the office and with any teacher within the art department. We will have a hoodie day on December 4th; students will be allowed to wear a hoodie that represents Michigan City High School.

With the seasons changing and the weather getting colder, Michigan City High School is a great place for family entertainment. With the winter sports season starting this week, Girls Basketball, and our production of Cinderella this month, there are many things you can do to support our students and have an enjoyable night out with your family.

As always, we are here to ensure your students graduate college and career ready. Please continue to follow us on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and like us on Facebook to remain informed of all of the great things taking place at Michigan City High School.
