Michigan City Wolves Wire, June 2016

MC Wolves logoFrom the Desk of the Principal...
Wow, I cannot believe this is the final edition for the 2015-16 school year. I am proud to report that many of our programs that have been implemented over the last three years have led to MCHS continuing to be a building on the rise. Our Early and Honors College programs are preparing more students to be in a position to take advantage of the dual credit courses available in our building and at AK Smith. Our students are taking pride in our building and the community through murals that have been painted in the community. After earning our highest graduation rate ever with the class of 2015, we are anticipating that the class of 2016 will exceed our goal of 90 percent graduation rate.

We are at the end of the road for the class of 2016 and I could not be more proud of the many accomplishments they have earned while at Michigan City High School. Academically, they have led the way with numerous honors, awards, and scholarships. This class of seniors has proven that they are ready. The class of 2016 has earned over 3.7 million dollars in scholarships this year, further proof great things are taking place at Michigan City High School. I am very proud and honored that I was able to be the principal for the class of 2016 the past three years and will always treasure their resiliency and leadership in making our school and community great.

In closing, thank you once again to the class of 2016 for all of your contributions to Michigan City High School. Also, thank you to our parents, community partners, and especially to our teachers for making this a successful year. Please follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook as we continue our rise and commitment to our vision of “Excellence for Everyone.” Go Wolves!
