MC Wolves logoHello my fellow Wolves,
Wow, I cannot believe this is the final edition for the 2014-15 school year. We started the year with exciting new programs for our freshman (Early and Honors College), more dual credit and AP offerings, and a commitment to improve our school accountability grade. I am proud to report that both our Early and Honors College students have excelled this year in making the class of 2018 the envy of surrounding districts when making college and career readiness a reality for all students. We continue to make strides in the Algebra 1 ECA, with preliminary data showing that our sophomores (the class of 2017) will have the highest pass rate ever for Michigan City High School. After earning our highest graduation rate ever with the class of 2014, we are anticipating that the class of 2015 will exceed our goal of 90 percent graduation rate.

We are at the end of the road for the class of 2015 and I could not be more proud of the many accomplishments they have earned while at Michigan City High School. Academically, they have led the way with numerous honors, awards, and scholarships. This class of seniors has proven that they are ready. The class of 2015 has earned over 2.5 million dollars in scholarships this year, further proof great things are taking place at Michigan City High School. I am very proud and honored that I was able to be the principal for the class of 2015 the past two years and will always treasure their resiliency and leadership in making our school and community great.

In closing, thank you once again to the class of 2015 for all of your contributions to Michigan City High School. Also, thank you to our parents, community partners, and especially to our teachers for making this a successful year. Please follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook as we continue our rise and commitment to our vision of “Excellence for Everyone.”
