Michigan City to Host US Highway 421 / South Franklin Street “South Gateway” Corridor Plan Community Workshop

mc-community-workshop-s-franklinUS Highway 421 / South Franklin Street is the major north-south route through the City, and serves as the front door to our community. Due to a combination of visual clutter, underutilized properties, the need for quality gateway elements and a lack of a cohesive design and land use theme, the corridor is not currently representative of the quality of our community and what it has to offer as a whole. Therefore, this project is aimed at revitalizing the US Highway 421/South Franklin Street “South Gateway” corridor to provide an enhanced entrance to the City.

Residents of Michigan City: We invite and encourage you to attend this community workshop where you will help in crafting a vision for this important corridor and how it relates to the future of Michigan City.
