The City of Michigan City would like to take this opportunity to update its residents on the progress of the new Michigan City Police Station.
Construction is on schedule and is approximately 20% complete. The city is also extremely happy to announce that up to this point, 57% of all construction wages paid out on this project have gone directly to Michigan City residents.
Mayor Ron Meer said, “This is a publicly funded job, and I would like to thank Larson-Danielson Construction Company for following through on their commitment to utilize our Michigan City residents on this project. Ultimately, this building will prove to be a great asset for both our police department and our community.”
