Michigan City Parks Opening 2016 Youth Baseball, Adult Softball, City Kids Day Camp Registration

Please note the following information for Michigan City Youth Baseball League Registration:
You may register online at www.mcparksandrec.com or at the Park Office (lower level of City Hall).

Cost is $30 / Participant Ages 5-6yrs-discount for multiple immediate family members for T-Ball only
Cost is $50/Participant Ages 7-15yrs-discount for multiple immediate family members for Baseball only

For Boys & Girls ages 5-15
5-6 years old - T-Ball
7-8 years old
10U (9-10 year olds)
12U (11-12 year olds)
15U (13-15 year olds)

Games will be played at Patriot and Gardena Parks. All players will go through a pre-season evaluation.
Season will go from May – Mid July.
12 Game Regular Season Schedule with Double Elimination Post-Season Tournament.

Adult Softball Sign-Ups Begin
The Michigan City Park Department announces sign-ups for the Adult Softball League are now being accepted through April 22.
2016 Softball League Fees are for a 10-12 game regular season, and a double elimination post-season tournament. Men’s 16-inch, Men’s 14-inch, Men’s 12-inch, Women’s and Coed Divisions are offered. Men’s 12-inch, Men’s 14-inch, Women’s and Coed teams will be scheduled for seven (7) inning games while Men’s 16-inch will be scheduled for nine (9) inning games. The M.C. Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to alter the format for scheduling considerations, and/or due to severe battles with inclement weather, or for any other reason. Games may be added or deleted depending on needs and circumstances.

Men’s 12-inch - $525 @ Patriot Park
Men’s 16-inch - $425 @ Patriot Park
Coed - $350 @ Adams Park (Patriot Park when available)
Women’s - $350 @ Adams Park

Money and rosters must be turned in together. NO FEE EXTENSIONS ARE PERMITTED. All rosters must include complete addresses and signatures of each team member, and all participants must be 18 years of age. The leagues will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The DEADLINE to turn in money and rosters to the Park Office in City Hall is 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016.

The Park Department will assess an add-on-fee of $10.00 for each individual added to a team roster after the entry deadline. NO Player may be added after date determined by Recreation Director and/or League Director. Rosters may not exceed twenty (20) players. Rosters will be checked during the season to confirm validity. ALL PLAYERS MUST SIGN ROSTER!

City Kids Day Camp
Children ages 6 through 11 can celebrate summer in beautiful Michigan City at the CITY KIDS DAY CAMP. Our leader will direct the camp and administer an exciting schedule that promises unique summertime adventures for your child. A vision to help the youth of Michigan City grow is the goal! Values, friendships, learning, and teamwork will guarantee tons of great summertime memories.

COST: $35 / WEEK FEE for City Kids Day Camp
$20 / WEEK FEE for those enrolled in MCAS Summer School

WHERE: Lake Hills Elementary School

The program is limited to 65 participants on a first-come first-serve basis. Pre-registration is required, which will take place at the Park Office Beginning February 22nd Monday – Friday from 8 am – 4 pm. Age verification with a birth or baptismal certificate is required to pre-register.

City Kids Day Camp opens the week of June 13h and ends on August 5th. The day camp schedule is Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Off on 4th of July) Please be sure to schedule camp arrangements in advance. Camp Leaders will leave with the campers for all scheduled field trips and special events. Be sure to follow the camp agenda, which will be provided at camp.
