The Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department is updating its Master Plan and is seeking input from the public. Whether you are a full-time resident, part-time resident or even from out of town, your ideas matter! Now is the time to tell the Parks and Recreation Department what you feel is working, or, what might need to be improved. The deadline is September 30, 2016. Surveys are also located at the Park Office, The Michigan City Senior Center, The Washington Park Zoo, The Michigan City Golf Course, The Michigan City Public Library, LaPorte County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, and Mayor Meer’s office in City Hall.
Public input sessions will be held in conjunction with Park Board meetings at 5 p.m. on October 5th and 19th and November 2nd at City Hall.
