Each first Friday of the month merchants and business owners get together, the public comes out to play and everyone has an enjoyable evening. While it seems we are doing well, let's all just take a quick glance back and say, "Wait, you know what?! We are only getting started."
We need each of you to participate in keeping the mission of Mainstreet alive and moving forward with strong momentum.
Why art?
I often wonder if we ask ourselves this question often enough.
Asking the purpose of art is much like asking the purpose of life. This 'thing' called art is a form of elaborate communication that has the potential to bring all of us together in a very profound way (and it does). Communities grow together and grow more strong with the respect that is encouraged through the process, completion, and display of art. It encourages freedom and fulfilled lives. It allows us to embrace individuality while keeping our connections strong and helps to encourage healthy growth in the esteem of our youth and selves.
Each First Friday Art Walk is not only a chance for the public to enter your space and view the "artists" work for the month, this is our chance to bring our community and those surrounding ours together to celebrate who we are and our creative potential. Let's work together to make it rock n roll.
Please submit your February Art Walk event by Thursday the 15th so that we can let the public know the happenings.*
