This Wolves Wire edition is packed with many great articles. Enjoy this edition and keep up to date on the many academic and extracurricular activities that your students can enjoy at Michigan City High School. With the completion of our first grading period, we met many parents and family members during Parent/ Teacher Conferences. Thank you for supporting your student, their teachers and visiting our building.
A success that needs celebrated, MCHS was named High School of the Year for AP TIP-IN. One of our goals this year is post-secondary plans for ALL students, our measurement indicator is college and career readiness standards. This award celebrates our growth in college and career ready. MCHS has significantly increased advanced placement enrollment and increased the percent of students earning qualifying scores on advanced placement tests. The qualifying scores earn students college credit to colleges and universities. We want to congratulate our teachers and students for a job well done!
As we move to the colder months and our seasons are changing, we are excited to once again cheer on our victorious football team as they are still in playoffs. We also look forward to our winter sport season as girls’ basketball is already underway, and boys’ basketball, swimming, gymnastics, and wrestling will be joining them soon. The fall musical performance will be held this November 9-11th, in the high school auditorium. We look forward to seeing you at MCHS!
Please keep your eyes on Franklin Street as we will be seeing our senior winter athlete banners going up!
