This Wolves Wire addition is packed with many interesting articles. Enjoy this addition and keep up to date on the many academic and extracurricular activities that your student can enjoy at Michigan City High School. With the completion of our first grading period, we distributed report cards and met many parents and family members during Parent/Teacher conferences held on October 19th. Thank you for supporting your student, their teachers and visiting our building.
On October 7th, we were able to crown our homecoming queen and award the spirit stick to a full house! The game was sold out! It was amazing to witness the amount of spirit, energy and enthusiasm our students and fans exhibited. The evening proved to be an excellent example of great sportsmanship. Homecoming week activities were approached by the students with excitement and enthusiasm. And finally, the Seniors took home the Spirit Stick! Congratulations to all involved in making this a most memorable homecoming for the school and our Michigan City community.
With the seasons changing and the weather getting colder, Michigan City High School is a great place for family entertainment. Our winter sports season starts up soon, the Parent Network Craft Show is scheduled for Nov. 5th in the high school café, Sadie’s Hawkins Dance Nov. 12th and the fall musical performance runs from Nov. 18th through the 20th. There are many things you can do to support our students and have an enjoyable evening out with your family.
We are making a concerted effort to really push Wolf Pride, not only in our building but throughout Michigan City. Starting with our students, many clubs and sports teams have designed spirit wear for sale at very reasonable prices. Also available is the on-line Spirit Wear store accessed through the high school web site. Every Friday is Spirit Wear day! You do not have to be a student to wear your Wolf Wear on Friday! Let’s make it a “City” thing to do.
