The Michigan City High School choral department will present its annual "Showcase 2014" concert on Friday, May 23.
This popular annual event will feature the Treble Chorale, City Singers and Concert Choir as well as the Male Ensemble that received Gold at the ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble Competition. Highlights will include "Fallin' for You" and "It Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got that Swing" (Treble Chorale); "Someone Like You" and "Jump, Jive and Wail" (City Singers); and "Car Wash" and "Livin' on a Prayer" (Concert Choir).
Several seniors will perform solos, and senior videos will highlight every graduating senior over the course of the evening.
"Showcase 2014" will be presented at 7:00 pm in the MCHS auditorium (note the change of venue from previous years). The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
