Michigan City High School Presents “International Day”

Michigan-City-Schools-LogoMichigan City High School has teamed up with the International Student Exchange (ISE) to host “International Day” on April 22nd from 6 – 8 pm. Featured will be current exchange students teaching the public about their culture while serving authentic food from their homeland.

International Student Exchange has been placing exchange students in the United States for over 30 years. Michigan City High School is one of their premier partners in this program, as they take in several students every year. Since MCHS has had such a positive experience with these students, the faculty and ISE thought it would nice to extend those experiences with the community.

“Since Michigan City High School does such an amazing job with job with their student exchange, we thought hosting an International Day with them would be a great idea. It would give the community a chance to meet these students and learn about new cultures.” Stated Jamie LeDonne, Area Rep for ISE.

The event runs from 6 - 8 pm in the MCHS cafeteria on April 22nd. Each exchange student will have their own table setup with different items about their country. There will be different types of food available to sample and even prizes for those who go “Around the World” at the event. International Day is free for the whole community. For more information on this event please call Jamie Le Donne at 219-229-0271.
