Michigan City High School Graduation Rate Hits All-Time High

MCHS-GraduationRateMichigan CIty Area Schools had some good news to announce today, as State statistics revealed that their graduation rate was at a record percentage.

“In case you hadn't heard yet; the state just released statistics last week, and the graduation rate for MCHS was at an all time high: 89.9%,” the school announced via Facebook. “Even higher than the State average of 88.7%.”

According to the State Department of Education, the score is an 11 percent increase from the 2013-14 school year.

The school said the positive scores are a reflection of the entire community’s commitment to the future of Michigan City and the students.

“Congratulations to our teachers, administration, support staff, students, parents, and community for all of your hard work and contribution to this achievement,” the school added.

And while the scores were certainly a positive step in the right direction, the school said that it will continue to work on increasing the score even more in the upcoming school year.

“These scores are only going to get better from here; City IS on the Rise!”
