Thomas Quinn- "'66 State Champs. You are so right, Robert."

Gail Bright- "Happy times...aka The Wonder Years."

Jude New- "I live in the Elston Grove Neighborhood and they just did a complete remodel here it really does look fantastic, even though I have a sewer clean out pipe in my front yard, with a 3 ft. x 3 ft. slab of concrete around it. I think Michigan City is on the move again. We are working hard to stop the violence and clean up the City and make it what it once was. A WONDERFUL place to call home!!!"

Warren Sampson- "The original Canterbury Theatre at 9th & Franklin. Every time I go into town I have to drive by just to make sure she's still standing."

Chuck West- "A very quiet renewal appears to be taking place there, Warren. Haven't toured the inside, but it's being used for weddings and private parties, according to occasional articles in the paper. I worked for Lyman Taylor, the original owner, for a year doing promotional work back in '71. Helped Dick Hyer, long the Canterbury's manager, lay the paving bricks between the main building and the one behind it that's been a restaurant for most of the past 15 years or so. It could still be a wonderful venue, if it comes back!"

Ray Beahan- "Hoagies at Woolworths-Wallys Recreation Hall and my favorite teacher Del Lonzo."

Linda Hansen- "Frary The people, the beach, the new stores downtown. Last summer we rented a Sheridan house and brought friends from Ohio. They loved loads of stuff about M.C. - the neat bakery on Franklin Street across from the poster shop, Urban Sole, the consignment store downtown, thought the beach was one of the best they had ever seen, loved walking down to the lighthouse on the pier, enjoyed gambling at the casino. I took them to see the beautiful houses in Long Beach, took them to Trail Creek, Edgewood - all over. They said Albano's pizza was also the best they had ever eaten. These people have traveled a lot and cannot wait to come back again this summer. Loved the outlet stores and Memo's too. Our grandson loved the zoo."

Carol Pozos- "The zoo, Arturo's Baked Goods & More (I'm biased), Revive Consignment Shop, Duneland Area Community Band, Trinity Children's Choir, First Friday Art Walk, Sahara Restaurant."

Pamela Clark- "THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE "HOME"..."

Carol Skrzypek- "Willis Best time of my life."

Elizabeth Kieffer- "Andert I'll admit, as a kid (before I lived here), it was the OUTLET MALL. It was a mythical amazing place with stores like Benetton and Esprit and JCrew, and my mom would take me there for special shopping trips. I was the envy of my peer group for having something cool or "unique" that couldn't be bought in South Bend."

Nancy Moldenhauer- "All the good times I've had climbing Mount Baldy and swimming in Lake Michigan. The awesome economic development happening in the Uptown Arts District and the wonderful friendships with the movers and shakers on Michigan City Mainstreet Association. The chance to appreciate fine art and meet so many new people at First Fridays."

Ann Klosinski- "Our home on Ohio Street.....our three acres provided us a self contained recreation area. Sledding, building snowmen and forts, ice skating in the winter. Summer we played in the woods, swam in any water hole we could find, played ball, rode bikes, spent hours on the swings and had our own "sand lot" to dig in. (After chores were done of course!)"

Matthew Kohn- "Washington Park and Lakeshore Drive from the park out to Michiana."

Mike Hennard- "Albanos and the Italian beefs at Kempers, or it might have been Stimleys."

Chris Lane- "The Lighthouse."

Pam Bowen- "Lopez The beach, the drive in and the zoo!!"

Janice Durnal Ostiguy- "Friends, basketball games."

Kathy Gulliver-Selby- "Lake Michigan."
