Michigan City Elston Branch Spring Open House Scheduled for April 21st

logoCome join us for a fun-filled day at the Y! On Saturday, April 21st, our Michigan City Elston Branch will host a Spring Open House from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This free community event will feature demonstrations of our many fitness classes and sports programs. The day begins with a free women’s self defense class at 8:00 a.m. followed by additional activities every half hour beginning at 10:00 am. In addition, participants are welcome to take full advantage of our cardio room, weight room, gyms and beautiful pool. We will also offer prizes, snacks and games for the kids, as well as free childcare in Kid Watch for parents who wish to work out.

This family-friendly event is open to the public and a great way to spend the day. All open house participants must have a waiver on file in order to enter the Y.

Facility tours will be available throughout the open house. The traditional joiner fee will be waived for those who choose to become Y members during this event.

“We are so excited to welcome the community to our Y,” says Kathy Workman, Program Director. “Our facility offers so much for everyone including sports, special programs, group exercise classes and so much more. We want to encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the Y and be part of our mission to improve health and wellness in the community. We are dedicated to making La Porte County stronger and healthier.”
