As you know, Petey was found in the fenced enclosure behind the Michiana Humane Society on May 4. In the three weeks since his arrival, Petey has become something of a star in these parts! He was even featured in the News Dispatch!
Thanks very much to your outpouring of love and donations, his condition improves daily. At yesterday's visit to the Michigan City Animal Clinic, Dr. Fairchild declared that there are no mites to be found on him! We are following a path of caution, though, given the extremely bad shape he was in. He will continue to receive weekly dips for the next few weeks to make sure that he heals completely.
Petey is just one of the thirty dogs and over sixty cats currently at the Michiana Humane Society. Every one of them has a compelling story.
