Last year we lit over 100 luminarias at the Michiana Humane Society for Remember Me Thursday. Each one memorialized a beloved pet, or an unwanted and abandoned animal who never found a forever home.
This year, the Michiana Humane Society will once again hold a vigil at the shelter at dusk on Thursday, September 24 in observance of Remember Me Thursday. We invite you to join us, in person or virtually, to light a candle in memory of your own departed pets, and in tribute to all of those who were never adopted. You may dedicate luminarias here for just $5 each. We will set up pre-paid luminarias in advance. You may also bring your own, if you prefer.
