Michiana Humane Society Celebrates 11th Annual Home Tour

michiana-humane-societyThe Michiana Humane Society’s Holiday Home Tour, Saturday, November 8, 2014, will celebrate 11 years of inspiring and successful tours by showcasing 6 homes in Harbor Country, featuring unique architectural details, stunning décor, and grounds decorated for Fall. This annual fundraising event for the Michiana Humane Society & SPCA (MHS) will take tour-goers to neighborhoods within Michigan’s Harbor Country where they will see the fall season come alive. The tour will also include “Lite Bite” stops at Vineyard Lofts, Harbert, MI (11:30-2:30pm EST) offering light refreshments, beverages and a tour of the winery renovated into living space. The Round Barn Winery Tasting Room, Union Pier, MI will offer light refreshments by Lindt Chocolate and Uptown Cakery , along with wine available for tasting and purchase between 2-6pm (EST).

“After 10 years, our tour has grown to become the cornerstone event in the last Fall season for this area and has included over 5000 patrons attending from Michiana, Harbor Country and the Chicagoland area raising over $200,000 in proceeds”, says Cathi Rogers, Director of Marketing & Communications for the Michiana Humane Society.

Tour hours are 10:00-4:00 (CST)/10:00-5:00 (EST). Tickets are $50 per person and may be purchased in advance from Indiana retailers: MHS, Darlings Boutique (Michigan City), Uptown Cakery (Michigan City), Mucho Mas (LaPorte), and Chesterton Feed & Garden.
