MCHS Wolfpack Band Earns Gold at Festival Class Championship

MCHS-Wolfpack-Band-Earns-Gold-at-Festival-Class-Championship-2018On Saturday, September 29, the Michigan City High School Wolfpack Marching Band competed in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Festival Class Championship at Crown Point High School. The Wolfpack Band received an overall Rating of Gold while also picking up a special Distinction Caption in the area of Visual Performance.

This year's show is titled, "A Dream Within a Dream." The Wolfpack Marching Band performs with 58 members and is under the direction of Frank Gast and Katie Safa, with assistance from Trisha Foltz, Color Guard; Andrew Altherr, Percussion; and Jacob Tillman, Front Ensemble. The Band is led by student Drum Major Parker Gouge.

Visual Designer of the 2018 show was Doug Goodwin and Music Arranger was Alex Smith. This season overall, the Marching Wolfpack received one Silver Rating and 2 Gold Ratings, while also picking up additional captions in Color Guard and Percussion performance.
